On Sunday, I had the opportunity to hold a launch event for The Stars of Aspiria at my local game store. This is something I had wanted to do for a while and was received well by my friends who attended the weekly card game locals at the same time. It was my first time promoting my book publicly so I was nervous, but overall the event gave me confidence in both my self and the work I had created.
I had prepared event swag and promotional materials well in advance, including pens and bookmarks that I would hand out with every signed copy on the day. I also own a The Stars of Aspiria playmat which I use during card games - not only does it look cool, but it also helps me promote my book and website while playing the game.
The support I received during the event was great, and the appreciation for my effort by the community was definitely felt. It was exciting to actually make sales in person and feel like a published author. I can't wait to talk about the story with those who read it and learn about how it impacted them, if at all.
Be sure to check out the event host Incom Gaming, Cheltenham's premier FLGS & hobby store.
The Stars of Aspiria is now available on eBook and paperback through Amazon.
