Today marks the anniversary of the release of my debut novel: The Stars of Aspiria. Over the past year, I got to know how this story has impacted people from different areas of my life, as well as recieve support in my efforts to continue the series.
Currently, I am 15,000 words into the second book: Invasion of the Cryp'lar. As with most projects, there have been many hurdles along the way to making progress on the first draft, though I have been able to take a step back and rework things as I go. This story was intended to be the origin point of the series, so I already had significant plot details in place before ever starting on Aspiria. In order to better connect the journeys of the characters, some of these details have evolved and expanded. I am committed to making Invasion the best possible version of the story I dreamt of all those years ago.
The Stars of Aspiria will continue to be a reminder for what I am capable of and, looking back, how far I will have come from my debut novel. I hope everyone who wants to has a chance to check it out or even dust off their own copies for a re-read one year on.
