Prosperous Colonies refers to colonies close enough to the Key Worlds in order to trade with and travel to efficiently. They host their own PALM Defence Forces at the behest of the UCG, with the Planetary and Lunar Military operating as standing armies for these colonies. The two inner sections of Human Space are referred to as "The Circle of Prosperity."
Proxima
Proxima is a world in the Alpha Centauri system. As it is the closest Prosperous colony to the Key Worlds, it enjoys the majority of benefits shared by the UCG to its nearest assets.
Tau Ceti
Tau Ceti was named after the solar system it resides in.
Eridan
Eridan is a planet in the Epsilon Eridani system. It is famous for the unsuccessful Siege of Eridan by the One Liberty military force during the Colony Wars.
Cybele IV
Cybele IV is a colony founded in the Gliese 581 system. It is the fourth planet from its star.
Romulus/Remus/Wolfbane
Romulus and Remus are worlds in the Wolf 359 system. The larger Romulus acts as the military might of the system, while Remus provides scientific research and exploration efforts. Wolfbane is Remus' moon, which has always been of interest to the PALM forces of Wolf 359 for various reasons.
Minerva
Minerva is a world in the Ross 128 system.
